User details macro
Display information about a user based on user name as an avatar, a simple summary or a full detailed macro, as well as HipChat integrations if configured.

Using the User Details macro
To add the User Details macro to a page
- In the Confluence editor, choose Insert > Other Macros.
- Find and select the User Details macro.
For Site and Category homes we recommend using the User Details Module.
Leverage the power of Layout placeholders
The parameters of the User Details Macro works great with Layout Placeholders if the macro is placed on a dashboard or space layout.
Parameters are options that you can set to control the content or format of the macro output. Where the parameter name used in Confluence storage format or wiki markup is different to the label used in the macro browser, it will be listed below in brackets (

A Confluence username.
Note: Use '@username' for the current user. This will work on all pages, not just with Layout placeholders.
full - shows all the information about the user
simple - shows the name and the contact info of the user
avatar - shows the avatar/profile picture of the user
Exclude category membership
When checked, excludes links to categories where the user is a member. Default behaviour will display these categories if 'full' layout is used.
